Why are pharmacies not accepting GoodRx? ›

Participating pharmacies are required to accept GoodRx through contracts with their pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). An exception is for controlled medications. Accepting a GoodRx coupon for a controlled medication is always at the discretion of the pharmacist.

According to the complaint, beginning in at least 2017, GoodRx broke its privacy promises by sharing information about users' prescription meds, health conditions, and personal information – like contact information and personal identifiers – with some of the biggest names in digital advertising.
