The main addition of Season 3 is the new healing potion, Dreamwalker's Healing Potionwhich heals for similar amounts to the current one and also leaves a heal-over-timeeffect for the same amount over 6 seconds. Its recipe, Recipe: Dreamwalker's Healing Potioncan be obtained randomly from Emerald Dream world events, such as theSuperbloom.

Dracothyst will also continue being used for the Season 3 crests, andis thus expected to maintain a high transmute value, provided you are maxed in therelevant transmutation talents and using Multicraft + Resourcefulnessgear.

The main addition to Alchemy is the new Recipe: Transmute: Dracothyst recipe,which can be obtained from Ponzo in the new Zaralek Cavern zone.This recipe allows you to learn a new transmute recipe to create Dracothyst,which require a lot of Zaralek Glowspores and are used in many new recipesfrom multiple professions, including Alchemy's new Draconic Phial Cauldron, Cauldron of Extracted Putrescence, and the new Enchanting creststhat can be used to upgrade Season 2 crafted gear to up to 447 item level.

As has been the case since the start of World of Warcraft, Alchemy will beresponsible for creating most of the consumables used in the end game,as well as some rare materials, through transmuting.

Alchemy is also one of the few professions that provide combat bonuses,in the form of healing / speed bonuses when using a potion, longer duration phials(30 minutes from Phial Mastery and another 30 minutes from Air or Frost Phial specializations),and lower health loss from using Toxic consumables.

Dragonflight introduces Crafting Specializations, which youare able to unlock once your profession skill hits 25. These serve as a professiontalent tree system fueled by Alchemy Knowledge, obtained from weekly quests,one-time treasures in the Dragon Isles, Draconic Treatises, and first-time crafts.

While you will eventually be able to unlock all talents, doing so will requirea long time as the sources of knowledge are very limited, especially once one-timetreasures and first-crafts are exhausted.

Besides short-duration combat potions, such as Elemental Potion of Power,Alchemists can also make long-duration phials, such as Phial of Elemental Chaos.They can also specialize into Decayology to learn about Toxic potions andphials, such as Potion of Withering Vitality.

Alchemy Stone trinkets can also be crafted for yourself and other non-Alchemistplayers with Crafting Orders and grant either increased duration on phialsor reduced cooldown for your combat potions:

Due to its PvE combat personal benefits, Alchemy is an excellent choice forany character that cares about min-maxing its Raid and Mythic+ performance.

It also goes well on Goblin characters due to their high racial bonus, but forthe most part, you will want to have it on whatever character(s) you play the most.

Alchemy Specializations are divided into three disciplines, each with 5sub-specializations, which can be unlocked as you put points into theirpre-requisite disciplines, akin to talent trees.

The best specialization for you depends on what your goals are: are you lookingto maximize personal benefit for Raiding and Mythic+, Potion / Phial mass production,betting on Experimentation, Reagent, and Incense mass production, or do you justwant to do daily Transmutes as efficiently as possible? Alchemical Theory isresponsible for most of the reagent and incense crafting optimizationand also contains many of the personal benefitsavailable to the profession, as well a dedicated transmutenode.

Ideally, Alchemy allows you to convert cheap materials into expensive potions,phials, and other products such as Sagacious Incense, but due to its commodityproducing nature, it is very likely that the consumable market will quickly get loadedwith potions that are only marginally more expensive than the materials used tocreate them. High-quality Alchemist Stones should have better margins but be harderto sell, as they require you to go through the Crafting Orders system.
